Wicked Uncle Big Kidz Range Review

Wicked Uncle are an established company of children’s presents who have recently introduced a new range for adults. I was fortunate enough to receive some products from Wicked Uncle’s new big kidz range. These include items varying from lighting, games and useful gifts. I ordered two products:

product review, sun light, light box, wicked uncle review, toys review, gift ideas, adult gift ideas, adult gift shop, gift shop, presents, fun toys

This is a solar light in a jar. I placed it on the window sill and it charged up during the day and then produced a lovely glowing purple light in the dark. It uses a rechargeable battery which came with the light.

This is a little display that comes with emojis and letters. I am using it for photos for my blog and Instagram and to display quotes. It uses 6 AA batteries which you need to supply. It can stand up or be laid down for photos. I found this light box to be the perfect size for me; there is enough room to insert a few words in letters or a few sentences in emojis and it is compact enough to not take up too much space in your office or room.

Wicked Uncle really excelled with their customer service, they were friendly, informative and fast throughout. I received the delivery quickly and the products were amazing. I have really enjoyed using them so far. I would definitely recommend Wicked Uncle’s big kidz range.

*These products were sent to me in exchange for an honest review

Rapid Fire Book Tag

This is a book tag created by Kate from GirlReading ( There are a series of book related questions to answer so let’s go:
Q: E-Book or Physical Book?  A: E-book, I know this is a controversial answer but I love my kindle so much! It is light to hold, keeps my page open and tells me an estimate of how much longer I have left in the book which helps motivate me to keep reading.
Q: Paperback or Hardback?  A: I don’t really have a preference!
Q: Online or In-Store Book Shopping?  A: I love shopping in a book store. Being surrounded by books is one of my favourite places. I can look at all of the different books available and choose whichever is available at the time. I often find books that I wasn’t originally planning on buying!
Q: Trilogies or Series? A: I love series because then there are more books to read, as long as the books still continue to be great and there is enough story to last across more books.
Q: Heroes or Villains? A: Heroes but I do l…

Book Buddy Read with Eleanor May

I have wanted to buddy read with someone for a while. Buddy reading is where you and someone else read the same book around the same time and discuss it. However, I didn’t really have anyone who had the same reading tastes as me. I have become good friends with Eleanor from and we decided to buddy read!
I am so excited to read a book with her and if any of you want to join in please feel free to. The book we are reading is: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare!
Neither of us have read the Mortal Instruments series before and it is such a popular series. From what I know of this series, it follows teenagers who hunt demons. I was accidentally spoiled with one plot point that occurs later in the story but I am hoping it won’t affect my reading of this book very much. I am really looking forward to discovering this series with a friend.
Have any of you ever done a buddy read?
You can buy City of Bones here: Amazon UK, Audible UK, Amazon US, Audible US, Book Depositor…

Five Things I Learnt From My Internet Detox

I just finished doing 48 hours without internet in aid of Cancer Research UK. Here are the things that I learnt during this time.

1.It is ok to use the internet sometimes

I often feel bad that I use the internet as much as I do. I think that I should be doing other things instead. However, I have realised that it is ok to use the internet. It is ok to spend time on social media, post things and talk to others, as long as you are not spending too long on there or spending time on social media or accounts that make you feel bad about yourself.

2.Without internet you can relive some good old times
Not having access to internet 24/7 reminded me of when I was younger and we literally did not have access to internet 24/7. We had to spend our time in other ways. The one activity that I spent most of my time doing was playing video games. I used to love spending time playing the same game over and over again and a lot of the games I never even completed because they were too difficult for me bu…
