I am really enjoying doing book tags so whilst I am making slow progress in my current read I thought I would do another one! Here is the fifty bookish questions tag:

1. What was the last book you read?
I’m currently reading Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. The last book I finished was Fairy Tail volume 1.

2. Was it a good one?
Yes.

3. What made it good?
Comedy, fantasy, magic.

4. Would you recommend it to other people?
I would recommend it to those who like fantasy/magic but beware of the sexism.

5. How often do you read?
It depends. At the moment I’m reading every day.

6. Do you like to read?
I love to read! It is one of my favourite things, it makes me feel relaxed and so many emotions.7. What was the last bad book you read?
The last book I read that I didn’t like was The Graces by Laure Eve.

8. What made you dislike it?
I didn’t like really any of the characters or the story.
9. Do you wish to be a writer?
Anyone who writes is a writer! Alongside my blog I also write creatively. I hope to be a published author one day.

10. Has any book every influenced you greatly?
The first book that comes to mind is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It showed me that any type of writing is valid.

11. Do you read fan fiction?
Not really. I’ve only read a little fan fiction.

12. Do you write fan fiction?
No, I actually find it harder to write fan fiction than my own ideas!

13. What’s your favourite book?
I have three: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

14. What’s your least favourite book?
I don’t really have a least favourite. There are a few books that I haven’t enjoyed this year so far. My least favourite book that I still currently own would be The Graces by Laure Eve.

15. Do you prefer physical books or ready on a device (like a kindle)?
I don’t really mind but I do love kindle because they do some great deals.

16. When did you learn to read?
I don’t remember!

17. What is your favourite book you had to read in school?
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood.

18. What is your favourite book series?
Death Note!

19. Who is your favourite author?
I will read anything that Maria V. Snyder writes.

20. What is your favourite genre?
Fantasy.

21. Who is your favourite character in a book series?
There are so many! A few of my favourites from Harry Potter are Hermione, Ron and Snape.

22. Has a book ever transported you somewhere else?
All the time. But magically? No, I have never suddenly been somewhere else in real-life, although that would be very cool.

23. Which book do you wish had a sequel?
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell!

24. Which book do you wish DIDN’T have a sequel?
None that I can think of.

25. How long does it take you to read a book?
It depends on the book, between a couple of days and a lot longer.

26. Do you like when books become movies?
If they’re done right.

27. Which book was ruined by its movie adaptation?
I wouldn’t say ‘ruined’ but I feel that the Beautiful Creatures movie has made the books seem less appealing when the books are absolutely amazing. The concept is just something that was difficult to portray on screen which led the film to be confusing.

28. Which movie has done a book justice?
The Hunger Games movies or The Harry Potter ones.

29. Do you read newspapers?
I haven’t read a newspaper in years, I tend to watch the news on television.

30: Do you read magazines?
Sometimes, I used to get Official Nintendo Magazine and Neo (a manga/anime magazine) a lot but I don’t really get any magazines now.

31. Do you prefer newspapers or magazines?
Magazines.

32. Do you read while in bed?
Yes, it is my favourite place to read and where I get most of my reading done.

33. Do you read while on the toilet?
No.

34. Do you read while in the car?
Not really because I get nauseous.

35. Do you read while in the bath?
No.

36. Are you a fast reader?
It depends on the book. When I get really into a book I will read through it quite quickly but I’m not a fast reader compared to a lot of people.

37. Are you a slow reader?
Sometimes.

38. Where is your favourite place to read?
My bed.

39. Is it hard for you to concentrate while you read?
Yes, my mind finds it really difficult to concentrate apart from sometimes when I get really into a book but it takes a while for that to happen.

40. Do you need a room to be silent while you read?
At home, yes but when I am out, no surprisingly, I can tune it out.

41. Who gave you your love for reading?
My dad!

42. What book is next on your list to read?
Possibly Dark Matter by Blake Crouch.

43. When did you start to read chapter books?
When I was a child sometime.

44. Who is your favourite children’s book author?
I used to love the rainbow magic books by Daisy Meadows.

45. Which author would you most want to interview?
Probably J. K. Rowling.

46. Which author do you think you’d be friends with?
I have no idea.

47.What book have you reread the most?
I don’t really re-read books but I am currently re-reading the Harry Potter series with the illustrated editions.

48. Which books do you consider “classics”?
Popular books that describe society in some way but they can be old or more recent.

49. Which books do you think should be taught in every school?
I think that there should be some sections for YA books because they face contemporary issues and they can sometimes be more enjoyable to read than some traditional texts.

50. Which books should be banned from all schools?
None.
